How can effective strategic planning serve as a prioritization tool in Public Investment Management (PIM) for both the Government of Ukraine and municipalities? How can it help ensure that recovery resources respond to people’s actual needs, improve quality of life, rebuild municipalities, and lay the groundwork for sustainable economic growth?
These issues will be explored during the panel discussion “Building Resilience: Inclusive Planning in Ukraine’s PIM Process,” which is a part of the “Unbreakable Ukraine” Side Event at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdansk. The event is organized by the Recovery for All (RFA) project together with the German Marshall Fund and the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.
Among invited guests are:
- Chrystia Freeland, Former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Canada, Incoming Warden and CEO of Rhodes Trust, Economic Advisor to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy;
- Oleksii Riabykin, Deputy Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine;
- Oleksandra Betliy, Leading Research Fellow, Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting, Ukraine;
- Viktor Nestulia, Director of Ukraine Support at OCP; Head of DREAM Project Office;
- Yevhen Mashyna, RFA Project Deputy Director.
Highlighting Ukraine’s evolving National Strategic Planning System and PIM reform, speakers will discuss the decisions, tools, and partnerships that are making Ukraine’s financial recovery architecture more credible, inclusive, and aligned with European standards.
